Why didn't the blond cross the road?

long version:
One day I see a blond standing at a corner. I didn’t think anything of it at first, but later that day I come back and I see that she is still there. I thought it was kinda strange, so I decide to ask her what she’s doing. She says to me: “I’m trying to cross the street”. There were no cars around so I asked her why she hasn’t crossed yet and she says “the stop sign hasn’t changed to ‘go’ yet”.

short version:
Why didn’t the blond cross the road?

Because the stop sign didn’t change to “go” yet.
