His Face Rings a Bell

There was an ugly baby in an orphanage. A preacher at a church came to adopt him. The child’s name was Henry.

The preacher kept Henry at the church for 5 years, until he finally decided it was time for Henry to have some responsibility. So the preacher told Henry to ring the bell every day when church had to start.

So everyday Henry would climb up the 60 stairs, and pull the gigantic rope that rang the bell.

Well, when he had turned 16, his hands had gotten stronger and he BROKE THE ROPE that rang the bell. He didn’t want to tell his father because he was so ashamed. So everyday he continued to ring the bell with his face.

After a few days, his face became very flat. He was so mad at himself that he ran away.

Well, a few passerby’s saw him running away, and one said:
“Do you know who that guy is?”
The other said:
“No, but his face rings a bell.”
